My work spans a diverse range of creative outlets, including illustration, painting, design, acting, filmmaking, directing (theatre/film), small-scale model making, and carpentry. I draw inspiration from surrealism, retrofuturism, architecture, and theatre, aiming to create art that invites viewers into captivating and joyful worlds. Often beginning with a type of automatism, my process leads to creations featuring quirky characters and architectural elements, often with a hint of surrealism.

Outside of art, I’m a dessert- and coffee-obsessed vegan, engaged to my best friend, with a soft spot for chihuahuas, especially the senior misfits out there. My creative passions also extend to the world of theatre and performance, which you can explore further at bobbyayalaperez.com.
